Emiko Uchiyama und Vladimir Petrov gründeten 2007
das Wave Duo.
Sie waren bei ihrem Debüt Gewinner des internationalen Marimba
Duo-Wettbewerbs in Belgien. Zusätzlich konnten sie noch den
Publikumpreis, den Best-Set-Performance-Preis und Keiko-Abe-Preis
für sich entscheiden.
Ihre ersten musikalischen Gehversuche machten beide im Alter von
drei Jahren. Mittlerweile können sie auf eine langjährige
musikalische Karriere zurückblicken, in der sie in ihren jeweiligen
Heimatländern Japan und Bulgarien zahlreiche Preise bei diversen,
auch internationalen Wettbewerben gewannen. Konyerte führten sie
bereits um die ganze Welt.
The Wave Duo "Emiko Uchiyama and Vladimir Petrov " came into
existence in the year 2007.They had their debut at the International Marimba Duo Competition in Belgium, where they were awarded the first prize. They also secured themselves the audience prize, the prize for the best interpretation of a set-piece and were the recipients of the Keiko Abe prize.
They both took their first musical steps at the age of three. Meanwhile, they both look back on extensive musical careers in their respective home countries - Japan and Bulgaria - where they have been awarded numerous prizes at esteemed music competitions. Their musical activities have taken them to many major European cities as followed by concert engagements in the United States and Asia.
